The first thing you want to do is try downloading this file and unzipping it to C:\Program Files\UnknownWare\ShapeShop XYZ, where XYZ is the version of ShapeShop you installed (or, wherever you installed ShapeShop, if you used a non-default path). It will ask if you want to overwrite the existing file - you certainly do. This should fix your problem.

Well, it looks like you've run into a new problem that we're going to have to fix. Here is how you can speed up the process:

1. un-install ShapeShop (there is an un-install option in the start menu)
2. run the installer again
3. during the part of the installation where a status bar fills up, there is a small button labelled Show Details under the status bar. Click that button.
4. Right-click on the details text area and select Copy Details to Clipboard
5. Paste the text into an e-mail to rms@unknownroad.com

But don't send that e-mail just yet. It is extremely helpful if you also do this:

1. download this zip file
2. extract the zip file onto your desktop
3. go to start menu, pick Run
4. type in cmd and click OK. This will open up a DOS box window.
5. type cd Desktop, and hit enter
6. type cpuinfo.exe, and hit enter
7. right-click in the DOS box and pick Select All
8. right-click again in the DOS window. The hilight will disappear.
   The text is now 'copied'.
9. paste this text before/after the text you pasted above.

It would also be useful if, in the e-mail, you tell us what version of Windows you are using (98, 2000, XP, Vista, etc), and which version of ShapeShop you are trying to run (you can find this out from the title bar of the window).
