Add the ability to click on an icon to add some basic primitives:

Sphere
Box
Disc
Cone
Capsule
Toroid
Wheel
Tetrahedron
Octahedron
Icosohedron

If scale is an issue, just make them 1/4 the size of the viewport.
Then we can simply scale and move them as needed.

Well, if you pick 'Point' under the 'Shapes' menu, you will get a sphere. (The name is poorly chosen - has to do with how it is implemented...). And it is possible to use that to make a capsule, disc, and torus. Then a box can be constructed from a disc, and possibly a cone as well. But it would not be so easy...

So, I see your point =). It would be nice to have default primitives, and it is not so hard for me to do...I will give it a shot.

BTW, what do you mean by 'wheel' ?

A wheel is a Disc with a hole in the center.
LightWave actually calls it a wedge.
It's not actually necessary since a disc with a smaller radius could be subtracted from a larger disc to get the same thing.

It would be neat to get something perfectly rounded like an innertube, though.
Here's a screen shot of a regular wedge and a subD wedge.
Being able to easily get both would rock!

Well, I don't see your screen shot, but I think I understand what you mean. I think I can do that...

I used the "Additional Options" Attach - browsing to a jpg on my desktop.
Looks fine when I view this forum thread, but maybe it doesn't really upload it.

I'll try again....

So when you look at this forum post, you see an image? Does it still show when you log out?

(Sorry to bug you, but you aren't the first person to say you have attached an image, and I have never been able to see them....)

When I logout I can't see them.
I can when I login.

Also, I can't post to this thread unless I wait.
I wonder if it is treating your post as the last time I posted.

It' would be nice to see these primitives added Lips sealed
And yes I also can't see them when I log out. But I don't understand why the Global Moderator can't see them? Huh
