MSVCR71.dll!!
« on: October 10, 2009, 07:23:05 PM »
Okay, So, When I try to start up ShapeShop(B5) it says:
"This Application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem."
Only i have re-installed it. I even installed older versions.
I used registry cleaners...Everything!
Nothing will work!
Any advice?
Thanks!!

Do you actually have the file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcp71.dll

on your computer? If you do, try copying it to the shapeshop directory, where all the other shapeshop dll's are. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure I can help you...

OK, so I had my hard drive crash last week, just tried ShapeShop on a fresh XP install and I had the same problem (!)  This definitely used to work, so maybe it is because of SP3 or something like that.

Anyway, I think I fixed it. Un-install ShapeShop B5, then download it again from the download page and re-install:

http://www.shapeshop3d.com/download.html

and let me know what you find.

cheers,

mysqlbinlibmysql.dll ... which is present ...

I didnt have libmysql.dll I only had the libmysqli I just renamed it and everything worked fine. I figure it might be a typo in the install script.
